Import data older than 30 days if available from Health Connect

By default, Health Connect only allows access to health data from the past 30 days.
However, under certain conditions, it is possible to read or export data older than 30 days.

✅ Conditions

To access historical data beyond 30 days, both of the following conditions must be met:

This app is granted permission to access data older than 30 days.
The other app (the one where the data originated or will be exported to) is also granted the same permission.

When All Conditions Are Met

Condition 1: This app has permission to access older data

Go to:
Settings > Apps > Instart Blood Pressure Tracker > Permissions > Health Connect > Additional access > Access past data

If the option “Access past data” is enabled, this app is allowed to retrieve data beyond the last 30 days.

Condition 2: The other app also allows access to older data

For example, if you want to import weight data older than 30 days from a weight scale app that supports Health Connect, you also need to enable the same permission for that app:

Settings > Apps > Your Weight App > Permissions > Health Connect > Additional access > Access past data

If the other app does not have this “Access past data” setting, then unfortunately, data older than 30 days cannot be accessed from that app.

Condition 3: Your device’s Health Connect must support access to data older than 30 days

Some versions of Health Connect—particularly on devices running Android 14 or earlier—may not support access to data older than 30 days.
In such cases, updating your Android OS to the latest version and updating the Health Connect app (if installed separately) may resolve the issue.

If the setting for “Access past data” (described in Condition 1) does not appear in your device’s Health Connect permission screen, it is likely that your version of Health Connect does not support this feature.

When All Conditions Are Met

Once both apps have permission:

This app can import data older than 30 days such as weight, steps, distance, etc.
This app can also export data older than 30 days of blood pressure or heart rate, allowing other health apps to read it.
